Advocating Change

There is a key ingrediant that is almost a necessity to life--change. Change is that ingredient that will never allow the mind to remain ignorant, it pushes the prudent forward, and avoids the stillness of stagnate waters. It broadens the perspective for the individual and opens the door for growth to take place. If change was never included in the make up of life, it could then be safely assumed that we would be no where near the development that society has come to.

And so the question then arises, do we seek change? For the reality is, when one stays in still waters for too long, the result is the growth and attachment to undesired specimen. We become attached to things we were only meant to experience for a short period of time. The statues quo is not something to be comfortable with, rather it serves as a launching pad. It sets a foundation for which we can launch off of, explore new thoughts, and dare to see life from a different perspective. And then when we do this, change will then be surfaced.

Take for example the Civil Rights Movements. Revolutionary Wars, development of various academic institutions, and the movements of exploration; all these endeavors took place because individuals were willing to recognize the given situation and boldly asses if the circumstances could be improved. I dare to assess there application process offered in higher education. We have established an education system that does provide individuals with the necessary knowledge and understanding for a given field, but something just as valuable as change lacks, and that is application. What if for every step of educating individuals, the step of application closely follows? Individuals would then be more equipped for the profession that they choose. The application during education, furthers the development of the education system that has been developed.
